I had a really productive day yesterday with my fundraising and wanted to share.  First I stopped by my car dealership.  A lot of car dealerships have money they can use for marketing and non-profits.  Most tend to use it for online and other areas for marketing but we have found that a few are interested in using that money for non-profits and our marketing benefits and presented them with the Family Team Supporter form asking for a donation from $250-$1000.  (If you don't have the form already than please let me know and I can get it to you right away.)  Next I stopped by my local supermarket.  I also presented them with the Family Team Supporter form but also offered them the opportunity to sell March of Dimes cut outs that read (Name) is helping babies.  The store is going to review both and let me know which they would like to support.  Then I picked my kids up from the bus and we decided to take a walk.  My son suggested bringing our March for Babies buckets and asking our neighbors for donations which was another success!  I know which companies some of my neighbors work for and let them know that their firm matches gifts.  That way we were able to double their donations.  Online fundraising is a definite great way to help you reach your goals but if you feel like you're asking the same people and not getting the response you were hoping for then I encourage you to explore other options and put the FUN back in FUNDRAISING!  When we walk at the March for Babies we're not saving babies lives but it's the money that we raise that supports the research that helps save babies lives!

Thank you for being a champion for babies!

Variety Day at Sesame Place for “A Very Furry Christmas”

We are hard at work planning our kick-off for the 2014 March for Babies.  Please keep an eye out for the invitation. In the meantime, we wanted to extend an invitation from the Variety Club to children who were born prematurely or with physical and developmental disabilities and their families an exclusive day at the park during A Very Furry Christmas.

Throughout Variety Days, park officials make special accommodations to ensure that every child will have an unforgettable experience no matter their abilities.

Variety Club members can register here for complimentary admission to the park. It will be at It’s A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place! Join the Variety Club for a one-of-a-kind family-friendly celebration with everyone’s favorite furry friends on Friday, December 6th from 4PM to 8PM. The fun starts with three special Christmas shows, dry rides, awesome music and twinkling lights all around. Our street will glow with festivities and come to life at night with our illuminated Neighborhood Street Party Christmas Parade. The fun continues with a special Christmas menu, super holiday shopping and of course, a visit with Santa. Select rides will also be open, weather permitting.

This event is open to Variety children and up to four additional family members (which can include a TSS/aide as the fifth accompanying member). If you are from somewhere outside of our service area, which includes the Greater Philadelphia Region, Delaware and Southern New Jersey, you are still invited to attend!

To register, please follow the online ticketing process. Families will NEED to submit a Variety Member Identification Number when completing the online ticketing process. No family will be able to register if they have not submitted an Application for Enrollment and received a number from Variety. Click here to learn about the Application for Enrollment/Intake Form process for “Variety at Play” events.*
