I had a really productive day yesterday with my fundraising and wanted to share. First I stopped by my car dealership. A lot of car dealerships have money they can use for marketing and non-profits. Most tend to use it for online and other areas for marketing but we have found that a few are interested in using that money for non-profits and our marketing benefits and presented them with the Family Team Supporter form asking for a donation from $250-$1000. (If you don't have the form already than please let me know and I can get it to you right away.) Next I stopped by my local supermarket. I also presented them with the Family Team Supporter form but also offered them the opportunity to sell March of Dimes cut outs that read (Name) is helping babies. The store is going to review both and let me know which they would like to support. Then I picked my kids up from the bus and we decided to take a walk. My son suggested bringing our March for Babies buckets and asking our neighbors for donations which was another success! I know which companies some of my neighbors work for and let them know that their firm matches gifts. That way we were able to double their donations. Online fundraising is a definite great way to help you reach your goals but if you feel like you're asking the same people and not getting the response you were hoping for then I encourage you to explore other options and put the FUN back in FUNDRAISING! When we walk at the March for Babies we're not saving babies lives but it's the money that we raise that supports the research that helps save babies lives!
Thank you for being a champion for babies!
